Jessica is a developmental, content, and line editor and proofreader with a BA in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from Central Methodist University. She provides regular editing and proofreading services for a small indie publishing house and offers her services to primarily independent authors. A lifelong avid reader, Jessica began her editing journey beta reading for a best-selling author and built her proofreading and editing skills along the way. She specializes in developmental editing for content by taking the story, seeing the big picture, patching holes, adding readability and clarity, and rounding out the edges. Jessica lives in Missouri with her high school sweetheart and their three sweet, wild boys. When she's not editing, she is usually playing board games, devouring books, preparing vegan feasts, and enjoying a nice cup of chai tea.

Jess's consulting services were beyond helpful to me. Her insightful questions and comments helped me pull together a story I was really struggling with. She was also very helpful in reminding me to actually write and making sure I was meeting my goals. I would 100% recommend her WIP consulting for anyone who is not quite ready for an editor but really wants some constructive feedback from a professional source.

AuthorJessica Gwyn is all things an editor should be. She's a voice of reason, encouragement, gives sound advice, and makes your writing go to a whole new level. My books would not be what they are without Jessica's guiding hand. She not only corrects the mistakes, but gives suggestions on wording and sentence structure that will make any writer shine. Her prices are reasonable, which I appreciate and as an Indy author, I value. I could not imagine publishing a book without Jessica and her advice.
